The Double-Draggin Skids^sm add safety through their highly visible, reflective green coloring. This helps make the sweeper more visible, while at the same time allowing the operator to better see the skid location to minimize accidents caused by running them into parking bumpers, curbs and other objects.

In addition, Schwarze-exclusive Double Draggin Skids^sm provide many other advantages. And they are available as a retrofit on all S-series sweepers with the new style head (post-1992 that have skids with welded on runner and bolt-on skid plate). Double-Draggin Skids^sm don't use scrap or various grades of used cutting tools. They are made with a cobalt mixture designed specifically for our sweeping applications.

Standard sweeping skids are made from 1/4" steel and sometimes even 10-gauge steel. But the Double-Draggin Skids^sm are made with 3/8" steel that are highly resistant to bending.
