The windrow broom option is very useful among contractors who have a need for sweeping heavy debris or are located in areas with a high concentration of sand. The windrow broom is located in front of the sweeping head and runs full-width of it. This broom option is extremely effective in scubbing the pavement prior to the air system head passing over it, and it increases the amount of sand and other hard-to-pick-up items which may be swept in a single pass.
Because of its extra powerful auxiliary engine, the S348 is the top performing sweeper in its class. Also specially designed for the 348 is the new windrow broom, which is located at the front of the sweeper. This broom moves debris toward the intake tube part of the sweeping head, which increases sweeping effectiveness in heavy debris situations. Because of the extra power needed to operate the windrow broom, it is available only on the S348 machines.
